So, I went to write an empties post of a ton of stuff I’ve been hoarding for a longggg time and then realized 90% of my products were moisturizer/serum, so I figured I would round up all of my thoughts on skincare in one cohesive post. I get a lot of moisturizer samples in my ipsy bag (so much that I haven’t bought a moisturizer in years) so that’s why there are so many different products mentioned!

Better Skin Mirakle Skin (via Ipsy)
Thoughts: This is a great moisturizer for the warm weather specifically. It’s not like absurdly THIC but I can definitely feel instant results and see long term results. I think it’s great before makeup- it soaks in quickly and isn’t greasy like something more appropriate for night would be. It also has no scent.
Repurchase? Maybe later. It is really basic to me, so I can’t see myself spending $34 for this container for something that I feel the Pond’s moisturizer does almost as well. I do like how clean the ingredients are though! 6/10 (lost some points based on price)
Thoughts: I used this before bed, after cleansing. First, it smells absolutely wonderful. In my opinion, it acts like a serum, simply because of how thin it is. It gave me a definite glow and worked best when I used it with a face oil after. I’ve never really noticed quick effects from a serum other than this one. I’m not sure how else to describe it other than it gave my skin new life and didn’t break me out!
Repurchase? Although this has a relatively high price tag, this will definitely be high on my list if I don’t love any of my other serums I have in my stock. I definitely recommend. (7.5/10)
Thoughts? I think this is an exact middle of the line moisturizer. If you’re wanting something that does what it needs to do with a drugstore price tag this is a good option. In my opinion, it gave pretty similar results to the Better Skin Co. one I posted about earlier. I think it’s great for before makeup, but I tend to like things that are a bit more thick for before bed. Didn’t clog my pores either!
Repurchase? I would for a classic moisturizer (specifically in the summer!) for a good price. (9/10)
Pur-lisse Blue Lotus Moisturizer (via Ipsy)
Thoughts? I would not recommend this at all. It is so thin and it has like a sticky finish. It doesn’t feel nourishing whatsoever. I had high expectations and this didn’t give me much of anything. Not sure what else to say other than this was a major letdown.
Repurchase? Nope. (4/10)
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream (vis Ipsy)
Empty? Every last drop
Thoughts? If you have dry skin this is the perfect moisturizer. I LOVE using this in the wintertime. I would use it in the summer, but only at night. It is THICK, but didn’t clog my pores/break me out. A glow is guaranteed when I use this product!
Repurchase? Yes. I have gotten multiple people hooked on this stuff. If you need a moisturizer that packs a punch, this is the one for you. (9.5/10)
Red Earth Water Cream (c/o)
Thoughts: This was the first product that opened my eyes to gel moisturizers. I love these pre-makeup and in the summer time. I don’t always love that slick look that traditional cream moisturizers give, so I immediately fell in love with this one. It soaks into your skin immediately and leaves your skin feeling like a better version of itself all day. If you don’t like the feel of lotion-y type products on your face this is the perfect option for you! Also, I have never noticed my skin looking more clear than when I used this product. Plus, the ingredients are super clean!
Repurchase? Definitely! I absolutely love this product! (9.5/10)
Thoughts: Honestly, I used this entire thing, but I don’t know if this did anything at all to my skin.
Repurchase? No, especially for the steep price. (3/10)
Thoughts: This product has “non greasy” written all over it, but I found it to be very greasy. Will not be finishing the bottle.
Repurchase? No (5/10)
