The Products That Saved My Dry Skin This Winter

The Products That Saved My Dry Skin This Winter

This winter my skin died and it was up to me to figure out how in the world to revive it. My skin had been dry before, but never like, of course I took to one of my favorite pastimes: skincare to solve the problem. These four products are my knight(s) in shining armor.

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus: Hand & Body Scrub

With my skin being as dry as it was, it was literally falling off of my body in tiny little flakes (probably the nastiest thing I have ever written on this site about myself) and modest scrubs just weren't cutting it. I like this guy because he's a pretty heavy hitter. The pieces used to exfoliate are quite large, so they really get all the dead skin off which really helps your skin look and feel so much better. Plus, smells SO good.

Cerave Moisturizing Cream

With the flaking skin also came bleeding (WOW I am really making myself look SO wonderful right now) and all in all it was just a terrible experience. I actually had this product tucked away and I like her because she THIC. This product has no scent and really just gives you a nice layer of pure moisture. I really like to apply it after I shower, because I shower A LOT which is a huge contributing factor to the dry skin, and it lasts all day.

Yes To Grapefruit Toning Mist

This is actually my newest find. Year round I struggle with redness on certain spots on my body, one of the main ones being my face. This problem is amplified during the winter because of the temperature changes, dryness and higher amounts of product being applied. I really love dewy, glowy skin (which diappears in the winter) and I feel like this balances out everything while still helping me get the look I want. I really couldn't believe how much more even my skin looked after using this product a few times.

Weleda Skin Food

Okay, if you are only going to get one thing from this post...make it this. This stuff is a miracle worker for the spots that are just awful. Mine are under my eyes and on the creases of my nose. It's a tiny tube, but a little goes a really long way because it is SO THICK.

I also really wanted to mention First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream which is the moisturizer I have been using every night! I really love it, but I received it as a sample and it is just a little pricey to me, but it really gets moisturizing results.
