I will say it a billion times, Houston, Texas has an incredible art scene. Now, in appreciation I decided to visit The Museum of Fine Arts: Houston and I had a great time. Me and my siblings originally planned our day trip into the city to see their exhibit, Kusama, which looks absolutely incredible (seriously, look it up on instagram) but, unfortunately we went on Thursday, the day admission into the museum is free, so naturally tickets to the special exhibit were, in fact, sold out, so if you’re dying to see that exhibit like we were, PLAN AHEAD. But, we decided to take advantage of the free museum anyway and we had a blast! The exhibits are really cool, and personally I liked the second building better than the first. I took up about 2.5 hours of our time and it kept us out of the blistering Texas heat. Plus, it’s right by Herman park, so if you go to the museum, be sure to make a visit to my favorite Houston park!
Now on to my outfit, if you follow me on instagram, you know that I wear this skirt at least once a week, which is impressive considering I bought it for under $2! I am just obsessed with it, it’s all american and fits me like a glove, I am PROUD of that find. Another thing I’m proud of are these shoes…every single time I wear them, they start a conversation, and paying ten bucks to make new friends is entirely worth it, they are one of my cheapest and not to mention favorite shoes I own. This casual outfit has turned out to be one of my favorites this summer!
Now, make a trip out to your local museum or ask a stranger about their shoes!
