10 Mascaras, 10 Reviews
This past year I’ve been trying out mascaras like crazy. So, now I have lots of opinions for you (: Keep reading to hear my thoughts and if they’re worth it based on price! Going from top to bottom:
For probably the last five years, this mascara has been my OG. Perfect for everyday. Not expensive AT ALL. And gives you good length and volume without coming off as too dramatic. Recommend 100% for everyday wear, I don’t think I will ever stop singing its praises.
Ciate Wonderwand ($22)
Honestly, this is just okay. Nothing spectacular at all and I did experience some flaking later in the day. Not worth the money in my opinion.
PUR Fully Charged ($22)
I was extremely interested to try this mascara because it’s “powered by magnetic technology” so, I was like okay this is going to do something crazy, but not really the case. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it gave more volume than length. Also, does flake a bit.
This is one of the cheapest mascaras out of the group and I absolutely LOVE it. Gives you bold lashes and truly lasts all day. I recommend all day long. Doesn’t flake.
Not worth it, at all. Does almost nothing.
This mascara does lengthen, but does not give any sort of volume. Definitely left me wanting more!
i.t. Superhero ($24)
This is a fan favorite and it really does give intense lashes which I did like! I just cannot spend $24 for mascara at this point in my life, BUT it does work very well. As it got a bit older it did flake a tiny bit though! If you’re looking for a mascara to create long AND thick lashes, this is the one for you.
Lancome Monsieur Big ($25)
Out of all of the high end mascaras I tried, this was by far my favorite. This mascara creates really voluminous lashes, and gives an almost “falsies” look. I care more about volume than length, BUT I think that this mascara gives a good amount of length at first. If I were to invest in a mascara, it would be this one.
Eyeko Lash Alert ($25)
This mascara gives a nice curl and separation, but doesn’t give much in regards to volume and length. What’s interesting about this one is the container is soft plastic, which I like because you can squish it to ensure that the wand is fully covered and the wand is also curved.
MAC False Lashes ($24)
I had higher expectations for MAC mascara! I really like the wand, but I feel that it was a good average mascara. I think it’s comparable to the L’Oreal Voluminous, but way more expensive.
1) L’Oreal Voluminous- This will forever be my number one! A great everyday go to and SUCH a good price.
2) Lancome Monsieur Big- This may have been number one aside from the price! I absolutely love the fullness that this gives.
3) Essence I Love Extreme- One of the cheapest, but it blew me away! I think it could be a great dupe for the Lancome!
